Over the years I have learned some basis steps to hire quality truck drivers.1. Be very specific with what kind of driver you are looking for and then properly communicate this to prospective drivers.2. Communicate what you are looking for at truck driving schools, job fairs, unemployment centers and hiring events. 3. Try to obtain either an application or a job contact form to follow-up from your contacts.4. Have a process to to follow-up with the applicants or your contacts on a timely basis. 5. Offer the qualified applicant with a job offer and schedule OTJ training.

They cater specifically to transitioning military veterans and their spouses. What you should do prior: Register on the website and look at the job listings from the exhibitors. See a role you want to apply for, make sure to have a resume tailored to the responsibilities of that role. Go to the event and meet the employers and start a conversation. Know your elevator pitch. Refine it if needed. Stay in touch. What you shouldn't do: Bring 50 copies of your master resume and just hand it out. Talk to no one. Bag up as much free swag as you can and just roll out unnoticed. (I mean, you can do that after....)

We participated in the 16th Job Fair, where over 150 companies presented their business to students and future employees.
