In June 1944, the Western-Allies had a tough test to pass. They had to breach the formidable Atlantic Wall, defended by the mighty German army.Even though it was just a mere shadow of its former self – the Russians had seen to that – it was still one of the best-trained armies in the world and the success of the Allied landings was by no means a sure thing.

There is a three pronged attack that followed Wayne after his death. The attack on Littlefeather at the Oscars which no press covered at the time. His role in World War 2. Whether or not he was a racist. Can you handle the truth?

Most importantly, even where chaos reigned, the Allies did their jobs. Ragtag soldiers organized themselves into effective units and improvised assaults. Navy ships came in so close as to almost run aground to offer fire support. Rangers and paratroopers executed missions in spite of appalling losses. Engineers cleared obstacles and minefields under heavy fire. And the Allies owned the skies and kept the German Luftwaffe grounded. So we commemorate the paradox of this victory. The planning and preparation were unprecedented. But when the plans failed, it came down to dumb luck and desperate courage to plug the gaps. Planning is after all, just the fantasy of action.

There are people reading this who have never been to a drive-in.They have never had a corn dog watching a movie, snuck friends in by placing them in the trunk of their car, snuck in beer or watched a movie in the pouring rain with the windshield wipers going. They never got a hickie in the backseat. You are in luck. Here’s 2 great drive-in movies. How does a film become a great drive-in movie? By having a very simple plot, great action and hot girls. That’s pretty much it. No one needs to know you got your hickie on the couch, not in the car!

Operation Tiger was the trial run for D-Day. Hundreds died. Many were buried in unmarked graves. Survivors were threatened with court martials if they said a word. Families never knew what happened. What does the "D" in D- Day stand for?The D simply stands for "day." The designation was traditionally used for the date of any important military operation or invasion, according to the National World War II Museum. Thus, the day before June 6, 1944, was known as D-1 and the days after were D+1, D+2, D+ and so on
