To project a large-grid ship, drop a large Landing Gear so it magnetises to the ground; then add Battery, Control Panel, and the Large Projector to the landing gear. To project a space station from another space station, build the Projector anywhere on the station, and then use the space station's terminal and power.

To create a blueprint, target the grid and press (CTRL-B key). If the grid has subgrids on rotors/pistons/hinges (this is called a multigrid), the blueprint also contains all subgrid parts.

If you have placed unwelded blocks from the co*ckpit, RMB-click the blocks with the. Welder Block while seated in the co*ckpit. Otherwise, leave the co*ckpit and press (G key), click to select a block from the list, and click the plus button in the bottom right to queue up its components in the build planner.

Before you attempt to tweak any settings, try to get the projector as level as possible, and facing the screen or wall as straight-on as possible. If you have to use the legs, you should hold the projector in place and then unscrew the legs (to make them longer) until the image is level.

You can calculate this position by multiplying the throw distance number (in this example, 1.3) by the horizontal length of your screen (not diagonal). For example, if your screen is 87” wide and the throw distance of your projector is 1.3, the projector should be 113” (87x1. 3=113”) from the screen.

Unless it has been changed in the past few months, small welders have an effective radius of 3 small blocks (1.5m) and large welders a radius of 4 small blocks (2m). Large blocks are 2.5m (5 small blocks) a side.

If two pieces of the same type of metal touch in space, they will bond and be permanently stuck together. This phenomenon is known as cold welding. or contact welding, and it occurs in the vacuum of space. In this welding method, heat is not the primary element for fusing metals.

Ore Detector is an entry-level functional block in Space Engineers. When attached to a ship and supplied with power, it displays up to 5 ore locations as Signals on the player's HUD when they are within detection range — exactly like the Hand Drill does, but with possibly greater range.

Plug an HDMI cable, adapter, or VGA cable into your laptop and turn it on. If using an adapter, also plug an HDMI cable into the adapter. Plug the other end of your cable into the projector. Turn on the projector.

How to place multiple blocks. In Creative Mode, holding CTRL while dragging the mouse places a row of welded blocks, and holding both CTRL and SHIFT while dragging places an area of welded blocks. The same shortcut is not available in Survival mode; use projections to place unwelded blocks in bulk there.
